CA Recordings done

I used part of my snow week to finish off my videos for California!  I started last summer and had 35 videos to make for the school year.  This month, I realized I only had about 8 weeks to finish! I decided to use the snow time at home to knock them out.  Now they just need to be edited together so I can turn them in.  My time with Saugus Union is coming to an end.  It's bittersweet!

SNOW!

 Snow in Memphis is a pretty rare thing we're told but boy did we get snow!  It snowed for about 24 hours and we ended up with 4 1/2 inches.  Since it's a rare thing, the town isn't really prepared to handle it.  So everything shut down and we stayed home, which was nice!  I talked Ashton into going out and making a snowman with me.

Ashton #19

 Ashton turned 19 yesterday and we had so much fun celebrating him!  He got presents at breakfast (banana pancakes), lunch (macaroni and cheese) and after dinner (Hueys restaurant for cheeseburgers)!  He is the gift that keeps on giving!  Love you, Ash! ❤

Father-Son Raking time

 Derrik and Ashton did some raking this weekend and wow - do we have a lot of leaves in the backyard!

Amaryllis

 One of my Kindermusik students gave me a an amaryllis for Christmas.  It sat on my counter and then bloomed this week.  So pretty to look at in winter!

Visit with an Old Friend

 Through Facebook, I found out that one of my mentors from college, Stephanie Moser, had a daughter living in the Memphis area.  I quickly messaged her to find that she would be visiting the week after Christmas!  Derrik and I met with Stephanie and her daughter, Anna, and it was like stepping back 25 years.  So much has changed but so many things were exactly the same.
