Warmer Weather around the Corner

 We're experiencing some spring weather here - Spring is on the way!  We'll still have some colder temps in the next month or so, but we decided to go ahead and uncover the patio furniture so we can enjoy some of these 70 degree days outside.  Sadie has been in on the fun and doing some sunbathing!

Worship Team Development Night

 Derrik and I participated in a development night at Mission Church!  Derrik played keys and I sang.  It was neat to see how they run rehearsals and prepare for church each week.  We're excited to see how this opportunity unfolds!

CA trip Day 5-7

 I didn't take many more photos after Day 4! 

Sunday - We went to church Sunday and saw lots of old friends.  It was a great time!  Had lunch with the parents and Ethan.  Then in the evening, we met with Joy Nakazawa's family for dinner.

Monday - Was a slow day.  Derrik had meetings again so he took the car and I stayed home with Ashton.  It felt good to rest after the busy weekend.  In the evening, Derrik and I went on a date and Cameron and Ashton went to the Young Adults group from church.

Tuesday - I met my friend, Laura again for coffee.  I picked up Ashton from the house and we drove to Derrik's work to wait for him.  He and I played cards while we waited.  We had one more meal with the parents for dinner.

Wednesday - We packed up our stuff and met Cameron for lunch one last time.  We said goodbye to him and drove to Culver City to have coffee with Ethan at his apartment.  From there we went to the airport to fly home!  It was a fun trip and we're also glad to be home!

CA trip Day 4

On Saturday, Cameron took us to the farmers market to try pastries at a Japanese bakery, tamales, chicken tacos and donuts!  Yum!  We also got a little inside tour of our old house, Cameron's current house, on Pamplico. For dinner, Derrik and I drove to Burbank to meet with some of our band friends and Cameron and Ashton went to In'N'Out for Ashton's favorite cheeseburger (they don't currently have In'N'Out's in TN).

CA trip Day 3

Day 3 Derrik was back at work and I went and met my friend, Laura (who was the first friend I met in CA back in the summer of 2004) for lunch.  I also did some shopping and met up with Cameron.  We picked up Derrik and went and had pizza for dinner.

CA trip Day 2

Today was Derrik's first day of meetings so after I dropped him off at work, I went to Panera to pick up a coffee and then I went back to the house to check on Ashton.  He was awake and I watched him play fortnite for a bit and then we drove around and saw the high school, the Pamplico house, the Waterford house and then went to have lunch with Cameron.  There was a break in the rain so we went for a quick walk.  We visited the library and then headed over the thrift store.  We then drove over to pick up Derrik. Dinner was a fabulous meal at our hostess' house!

CA trip Day 1

We woke up before the sun to fly to CA!  Derrik had work meetings so Ashton and I tagged along for fun.  We spent the first half of the day traveling and then got to have lunch with Ethan in Culver City.  We then went to the house we were staying at (one of Derrik's clients had two extra rooms) and tried to rest before dinner at the grandparents house.  Full day but so fun to be back!
